# How to use the Notepad in a flow

The notepad feature acts as a universal clipboard that can be used in any flow on the system.

The **Notepad** is located as a tab at the bottom of a flow as shown in the below image. To open it, click on the word “Notepad” as highlighted.

You can type out a note in the Notepad and click on **Save Notepad button** to **save** your note and view it in other opened flows as shown in the below image.

To **clear** the note, click on the **Clear Notepad button**.

To **close** the tab, click on the highlighted **down expander icon** located on the far right as shown in the below image.
