Hardware requirements for on-premise servers/ relays

The following are the minimum hardware requirements for on-premise servers:

Windows Server:

The following requirements assume that Synatic and all essential services will run on a Windows Server:

  • CPU: An Intel processor with VT-x.
  • CPU Core Count: At least 8 cores.
  • Memory: At least 16GB of RAM.
  • Storage: At least 60GB of solid state disk storage.
  • OS: Windows Server 2012 +

Linux Server:

The following minimum requirements assume that Synatic and all essential services will run on a Linux Server:

NB: Depending on expected system usage these requirements many increase.

  • CPU Core Count: At least 8 cores.
  • Memory: At least 16GB of RAM.
  • Storage: At least 60GB of solid state disk storage.

MongoDB (on-premise):

It is highly recommended that the MongoDB database runs on its own separate server on-premise or on MongoDB Atlas (hosted). For the most reliable and robust configuration we recommend setting up a 3 node replica set with the following minimum specifications for each node:

  • CPU Core Count: At least 2 cores.
  • Memory: At least 8GB of RAM.
  • Storage: At least 20GB of solid state disk storage.
