Linking your Synatic and third-party account when using SSO

If your organization has enabled Single Sign On (SSO) on Synatic, registered users will be able to log into using their email and password directly on Synatic, or a third-party provider like Okta, Duo Azure AD etc.

Users MUST have a Synatic account, even if they will only be using a third-party service to log in. They cannot register from the third party. Please get in touch with your account manager to register any users that require access.

A typical Synatic login screen looks like the image below. It only allows the user to login using their username and password.

For SSO enabled organizations, there is an additional button that allows users to login using an external provider. In the example below, users can opt to login using Uno Security; in addition to being able to login using a username and password.

When logging in via SSO for the first time, you will be asked to link your SSO account to your Synatic account (See screenshot below). Click on Continue to start the account linking process.

You will be redirected to a login screen where you can verify that you are the owner of the Synatic account (Like the screenshot below). On this login screen, you should provide your Synatic credentials (Not the credentials of your SSO provider).

Note that the Synatic email you specify here should be the same as the email you use to log into your SSO provider account.

Provide the credentials and then click continue to complete the process. If the Synatic credentials are accepted, the SSO and Synatic accounts will be linked, and you will be automatically logged in.

Account linking is a one-off process. All subsequent logins will not require verification of your Synatic credentials.
